| WWE Smackdown on Friday, December 13 scored a 1.94 rating, down slightly from a 1.98 rating the previous week.
Smackdown averaged 2.686 million viewers, down five percent from last week's above-average draw of 2.837 million viewers.
- Friday's result continued the Smackdown See-saw that started when John Cena briefly visited Smackdown on a regular basis as World Hvt. champion. Although, this week's downward shift was less pronounced than in November.
Nov. 1 - 1.90 rating Nov. 8 - 2.08 rating Nov. 15 - 1.90 rating Nov. 22 - 2.15 rating Nov. 29 - 1.86 rating (Thanksgiving Weekend) Dec. 6 - 1.98 rating Dec. 13 - 1.94 rating
- On cable TV Friday night, Smackdown ranked #4 in overall viewers, #4 in males 18-34, and #5 in males 18-49.
Smackdown appeared to be negatively impacted by a stronger-than-usual NBA game on ESPN, which likely drew away older male viewers. This is reflected in the m18-49 demo, which fell to its lowest point of the fall season.
WWE also took a hit among younger viewers. Included was m12-34 declining two-tenths of a rating and teen males 12-17 declining three-tenths.
