WWE Smackdown on Friday, June 21 scored a 1.71 rating, slightly improving on a year-low 1.66 rating last week. This makes Friday's show the second-lowest-rated Smackdown of the year.

Smackdown averaged a measly 2.28 million viewers, declining from last week's year-low of 2.32 million viewers. This makes Friday's show the least-watched first-run, non-holiday Smackdown since the series moved to Syfy in October 2010.

- Despite no major cable TV competition on Friday night, Smackdown ranked #7 in overall viewers, a distant #8 in males 18-34, and #4 in males 18-49. Smackdown was topped in adult males by programming on FX and TBS.

- One year ago this week, Smackdown scored a 2.00 rating and averaged nearly three million viewers. The startling differences include last year's Smackdown up four-tenths of a rating in m18-34, five-tenths in m18-49 & m12-34, and seven-tenths in m12-17. In the present, teen males have checked out of Smackdown.

- With summer in full swing and no brand split in-play, Smackdown is entering territory reserved for Friday night replays of Tuesday specials.
