Nick Gage has received medical attention after being airlifted from the site of Combat Zone Wrestling's 2009 edition of the Tournament of Death in Townsend, DE. Gage was wrestling in the finals of the tournament when he was stabbed by a light tube that went deep into his right armpit, severing an artery (possibly the brachial artery). One person I talked to, who has seen some of the more graphic death match injuries first hand, said he'd never seen so much blood in his entire life. Despite his injury and losing a significant amount of blood, Gage wanted to continue the match. Upon arrival at the hospital he was rushed into the operating room, where they worked on him before stitching and stapling him up. They've decided, due to the amount of blood he lost, that they'd keep him overnight.
