- Announcers start in the ring welcoming everyone, hyping the show.


- Batista comes down to the ring to a huge ovation. He may have gotten some new tattoos. Kane is his opponent. Batista wins via powerbomb in a back and forth match. Crowd was pretty hot for it.


- Backstage segment with most of the roster partying. Hornswoggle slaps Maria's butt and Cole calls it vintage Hornswoggle. Finlay orders a drink. Punk comes in and yells at everyone for drinking. Cole says Vintage Punk. Vickie comes up to Teddy and insults him for banning the hell's gate. Then she introduces her new boyfriend, Eric (Escoba, I think) who is Smackdown's newest wrestler, who she'll be managing.


- Backstage, Mark Henry and MVP won't let Ryder part a velvet rope, even though they let everyone else in, including Iron Sheik and Sgt. Slaughter.


- Eddy Guerrero video package airs to a huge ovation.


- Jack Swagger out next to do commentary. Morrison out next, followed by Kofi Kingston (who is announced from Ghana, West Africa). They'll team up against Ziggler and The Miz.


- Ziggler gets the win via reverse bulldog on Morrison. Swagger and Miz have words then both stare down Kingston.

One of the backstage skits is said to be hilarious. Tatsu and Funaki singing HBK's theme on karaoke, Slaughter and Iron Shiek yelling at each other, Finlay getting Cole cocked, and Joey Styles.

- Melina vs. Michelle McCool in a Lumberjill match is next.

Please let Melina win but I know Michelle will.

*WWE Women's champ Michelle McCool defeated Melina in a Lumberjill match when Beth Phoenix interfered.
*Backstage Undertaker promo. He said that after the beating he gives CM Punk Sunday, Punk will crave the pills and alcohol he claims to despise.
*Drew McIntyre proposes a toast to himself at the party. Ron Killings attacks him and they brawl. It gets broken up and Teddy Long declares the party over.
*WWE champ John Cena & DX & Undertaker defeated World champ CM Punk & Legacy & Randy orton when Taker pinned Orton. They dumped TONS of blue and white confetti in the Arena to celebrate the anniversary and close the show

i miss Heidenreich. I always liked him.

*Smackdown opens with Teddy Long in the ring discussing the Bragging Rights PPV. Long says John Cena is welcome to come to Smackdown if he doesn't win the Iron Man Match against Randy Orton. CM Punk comes out and tells Long not to focus on Cena, but on him. He complains he has to wrestle Batista tonight. He demands a rematch against The Undertaker tonight and that Scott Armstrong (ref from Breaking Point) be the referee.
*Vince McMahon comes out and announces at Bragging Rights that The Undertaker will defend the World championship against CM Punk, Batista and Rey Mysterio. He says the action will begin right now and calls out Mysterio for his match....
*Rey Mysterio defeated Chris Jericho in a good match with a 619 and top rope splash.
*WWE Women's champ Michelle McCool defeated Eve Torres.


* Backstage, Vickie Guerrero complains to Teddy Long that it's unfair that Eric Escobar doesn't have a ppv match since he was introduced on the Smackdown roster last week. She says it's also not fair that undertaker has to be in a Four Way at the PPV. In Spanish, Escobar tells Long he won't be disrespected. Guerrero reminds Long he's on probation.
* wwe Intercontinental champ John Morrison defeated Dolph Ziggler. Maria was at ringside watching but didn't become involved beyond taking a chair Ziggler had set up to "use later" and sitting on it. When Ziggler went for the chair and saw it wasn't there, he was distracted, allowing Morrison to nail him with a kick for the win.
*Backstage, Maria asks Ziggler to speak to her. Ziggler tells her that he has a personal life and a professional one. He tells her he sees big things in his future, but she isn't one of them and walks off. Maria starts to cry.


*Drew McIntyre & Kane defeated R-Truth & Matt Hardy when McIntrye pinned Hardy with the double underhook DDT.

*Backstage Batista and Rey Mysterio agree that whatever happens in the Four Way at the PPV, they will remain cool and hug.
*WWE World champ The undertaker comes out and discusses winning the belt in the Hell in A Cell. He says that at the ppv he's going to win and take all of their souls.
*CM Punk defeated Batista by countout.

Teddy Long came out and introduced the captain of Team Smackdown Chris Jericho, who walked to the ring and cut a promo on [color:ad41=#900][color:ad41=#900 !important][color:ad41=#900 !important]John [color:ad41=#900 !important]Cena. Jericho said that it's his responsibility to put a team together that will do everything he says and that his team will defeat the delinquents of DX. There was a big chant for DX and a "You Suck" chant at Jericho.
Jericho talked about how DX pushes their merchandise and points out all the merchants. He has the DX book in his hand and said, "You know what I think of DX?" and he rips up the book. Out comes Kane to confront Jericho.
Kane comes out and says "Your team? We need to talk" to Chris Jericho. He says he is the new co-captain of team smackdown . Jericho says, "Of course you are, I was thinking the same thing" and tries to put Kane over. Kane says that as far as he is concerned, the DX book and DX can all go up in flames.

Finlay vs. Mike Knox vs. Dolph Ziggler for a spot on Team smackdown at Bragging Rights was up next. Ziggler actually got a pop. Ziggler pinned Knox after Finlay and Knox hit in the air on a cross body while Finlay had the shillelagh in his hands.
In a tag team Bragging Rights qualifier match, [color:ad41=#900][color:ad41=#900 !important][color:ad41=#900 !important]Cryme [color:ad41=#900 !important]Tyme beat The Hart Dynasty when JTG pinned Tyson Kidd. Cryme Tyme is on Team Smackdown at the [color:ad41=#900][color:ad41=#900 !important][color:ad41=#900 !important]PPV.
Chris Jericho, with Michelle McCool, came and said that there will be three Raw vs. Smackdown matches at the PPV and he can't count on Morrison winning so Jericho asks if he can count on McCool winning her match. McCool says she can beat anyone at any time. [color:ad41=#900][color:ad41=#900 !important][color:ad41=#900 !important]Mickie [color:ad41=#900 !important]James walked in and said she has a better chance of beating a Raw diva. McCool went to leave and brushed into Beth Phoenix, who told her she won't be keeping her title for long.
CM Punk walked into Vince McMahon and said that the Fatal Fourway at the PPV is unfair. Vince agreed and said that he really likes the idea that Punk had last week so he's making a match for next week: Punk vs. Taker in a submission match with Scott Armstrong as the ref and Teddy Long at ringside.

Before a Bragging Rights qualifying match, Tony Chimmel introduced Vickie Guerrero. She got a ton of heat, you could barely hear her. She introduced Eric Escobar and as soon as she said his name, people stopped booing and just sat down. Wow. His opponent is Matt Hardy, to a big pop.
Escobar won after Vickie distracted the ref, rammed Hardy into the turnbuckle and rolled him up. After the match the happy couple posed in [color:ad41=#900][color:ad41=#900 !important][color:ad41=#900 !important]the [color:ad41=#900 !important]ring.
They aired a commercial for the new Batista DVD, which comes out this Tuesday.

The Miz and John Morrison did The Dirt Sheet.
Morrison said all Raw was a version of Saturday Night Live. He asked whether Big Bird was going to host next week. Morrison challenged him to a match during this show, but The Miz left the ring. Great segment.

Drew McIntyre defeated R-Truth via countout to earn a spot on Team [color:ad41=#900][color:ad41=#900 !important][color:ad41=#900 !important]Smackdown at Bragging Rights. Not much for either one of these guys.
Rey Mysteiro defeated Batista. Both men came out to huge pops. The match started slowly. I guess it's due to them being friends. Mysterio won with the 619. It wasn't one of the best matches I've seen. They raised each other's hands after the match.
Batista left [color:ad41=#900][color:ad41=#900 !important][color:ad41=#900 !important]the [color:ad41=#900 !important]ring while Rey was posing for the crowd. C.M. Punk ran in and hit the GTS on Mysterio. Batista came back and ran off Punk.

Batista & Mysterio vs. Jericho & Kane is the main event tonight.

- Chris Jericho starts things off. Bragging Rights hype. JTG interrupts, then Vickie Guerrero interrupts. JTG's better on the mic. Eric Escobar comes out, then Dolph Ziggler, then Drew McIntyre. Finally, Kane. Kane & Jericho run down their team for not being ready and set up a 4 on 5 tag match, because Shad is sick. Different stipulation as Raw's 5 on 5 match, where if a team member is pinned, the whole team is replaced

- 1st Match - Eric Escobar, JTG, Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler vs. The Hart Dynasty, Finlay, Matt Hardy & R-Truth. Long match. Hardy pins JTG with a Twist of Fate after Finlay with a shillelagh hit.

- CM Punk, Scott Armstrong and Teddy Long are in the back talking about the screw job. Armstrong bails out, but runs into Vince McMahon.

- 2nd Match - John Morrison vs. Mike Knox. Morrison wins with Starship Pain. Morrison gives a short promo after the match.

- Jericho & Kane congratulate Hardy and company on replacing all 5 of the old Smackdown team.

- Mickie James, Michelle McCool, Mae Young and Beth Phoenix promo. Young slaps the fool out of McCool.

- Batista & Rey talk backstage.

- 3rd Match - Batista & Mysterio vs. Jericho & Kane. Pyrofest 2009. Batista pins Kane with a spear after Mysterio scarifies himself to Kane on a chokeslam.

- Vince McMahon talks up tonight's main event. Armstrong caved in. Taker-McMahon WrestleMania 26 foreshadowing here. Vince blackmails Armstrong by saying Bullet Bob could go in Hall of Fame this year if he cooperates.

- 4th Match - Mickie James vs. Layla. Mickie wins with a spin kick. And let's just say she's gotten the message from being moved.

- Captain Lou package.

- Cole & King hype Bragging Rights.

- 5th Match - CM Punk vs. Undertaker - Submission Match for the World Heavyweight Title. Punk and company come out with a Straight Edge promo. Great simple stuff from Punk. Taker wins with Hell's Gate despite Punk's attempts at another screwjob. Punk tapped way too quickly.

- Taker plays to the crowd to send us home happy.

Now people will stop complaining that an bland tag team that only Canadia cares about will be used instead of a tag team that is actually over.

I love Hart Dynasty but even I'm scratching my head with replacing CT. CT are pretty over and that seems the reason Vince made this change, he wanted over wrestlers on Team SD. CT however is a over tag team so wtf :ewwa:

I dont think I ever said they were bland, I really like them and Cryme Tyme. But yes a feud with DX can work wonders for them

no but ppl who hate talent because their family were wrestlers did. HD is 10 times better in terms of skills then CT is

I for one Glad Hart Dynasty is in. I hope this starts their feud with DX. A feud with DX can really help them, like it did Legacy. Hart Dynasty do deserve a push. I hope a push for all 3 of them is coming.

WWE is taping this week's edition SmackDown tonight from the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York. Special thanks to Wrestling News World reader Eric for sending text-message updates. Below are full results.

*The show opens up with Teddy Long in the ring congratulating Team Smackdown on winning at Bragging Rights. He says that later on tonight Rey Mysterio and Batista will have a heart to heart to discuss what happened at the PPV. He talks about the title match at Survivor Series and is interrupted by Chris Jericho. Their is such a "you suck" chant Jericho can't be heard.
Jericho says he should get the title shot, not Big Show. Long says the Bragging Rights trophy is the property of Smackdown and takes it away from Jericho. Kane interrupts and says he deserves a title shot since he was co-captain. Jericho argues with Kane, who starts choking him. Long tells Kane to let Jericho go, and he does. Long says if Raw is going to have a triple threat title match, so is Smackdown. Tonight it will be Kane vs. Jericho, and the winner gets put into the title match at Survivor Series.

*WWE Intercontinental champ Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler. Dolph tells Morrison that he's the only member of the SD roster that lost at Bragging Point (yes, he called it Bragging Point) and Morrison says he doesn't recall seeing Dolph actually have a match. Ziggler wins by countout after dropping Morrison on the SD announce table.

*Backstage Vince McMahon congratulates Teddy Long on winning at Bragging Rights. CM Punk comes in and says he should be in the title match at Survivor Series and that he'd still be champ if it wasn't for Scott Armstrong's shoddy officiating. Vince agrees with Punk and says tonight Punk will have a match against Scott Armstrong. Punk loves the idea and thanks Vince.

*Beth Phoenix defeated a girl, I've never heard of before, sounded like they said Janie Butch. Beth was cheered by the crowd.

*Announced for later tonight: Cryme Tyme presents a Divas Halloween costume contest.

*Vickie Guerrero comes out dressed like a princess. She says she wants to introduce everyone to her Prince Charming, Eric Escobar. He has a match against Matt Hardy, which Hardy wins.

**Rey Mysterio is shown backstage walking to the ring, his heart to heart with Batista is next.

*Rey Mysterio comes out and talks about what happened at Bragging Rights. He says that he considers Batista family and he's not leaving the ring until they talk about it like men. Batista comes out and asks Rey how dare he call him out. Rey says he just wants to straighten things out, Batista tells him he's giving him a chance to leave the ring. Rey refuses to leave and tells Batista that it was a Fatal 4 Way, did he not expect him to try to win? He says Batista is like his big brother and he's willing to let bygones be bygones, that if he had known being in the match was going to interfere with their friendship, he would have never been in the match. Batista gives Rey one last chance to leave the ring, Rey won't go. Rey says to think about everything they've been through, to think about Eddy. Batista says 'Eddy's dead', that he's not thinking about Rey, he's thinking about himself. Batista leaves the ring and walks off.

*Backstage, Matt Hardy approaches Batista and tells him to think about what he's doing. There are things he did to Jeff that he wishes he could take back but he can't, and that Rey and Batista really are family. Batista walks off and Matt turns around and starts texting on his cell phone, Batista comes up from behind and attacks him.

*Drew McIntyre comes out and says he didn't want to be a part of Team Smackdown to begin with, as he will be making his own impact. He says the party is over for his opponent. Finlay comes out but Drew attacks him as he stepped on the apron. Drew beats him down. The match never officially happened. Refs comes out to help Finlay.

*Cryme Tyme comes out to host the Divas Halloween costume contest. The 4 divas involved were Natalya (dressed as a Matador), Layla (dressed as Michael Jackson), Michelle McCool (dressed as a devil) and Mickie James (dressed as Elektra). Each Diva does a quick routine, Mickie is picked as the winner based on crowd response. She gets attacked by the other divas but is able to take down Layla and Natalya, but McCool gets a kick to the back of Mickie's head in. McCool walks off.

*CM Punk defeated Scott Armstrong with the GTS. Match of the year candidate (not really)

*Chris Jericho pinned Kane with the Code Breaker to gain entry into the World championship bout at the Survivor Series.

Beth got a jobber match? Wahh?

*Smackdown opens with World champion The undertaker discussing his Survivor Series title defense. Chris Jericho comes out and says he, not the Taker, is the true Phenom of the wwe. Taker grabs him by the throat. Jericho fights back but Taker gets the upper hand and Jericho retreats.

*The Rey Mysteiro and Batista video package was shown again.

*Dolph Ziggler and The Hart Dynasty over John Morrison and Cryme Time. Ziggler hit his finisher on Shad for the win. Morrison appeared to injure his ribs during the very early part of the match and tagged out quickly.
*Josh Matthews conducted a sit down interview with Rey Mysterio. He spoke about Batista turning his back on him and vowed that Batista will see a side of Rey that he's never seen before.

*Beth Phoenix over a local female wrestler in squash match.

*Drew McIntyre defeated Jimmy Wang Yang.

*Batista did a quick backstage interview with Josh Matthews. When they did a close up of Dave's face you could see his lovely nose stud.
*Rey Mysterio over Mike Knox. A solid match. Rey won with the 619/Splash combo.

*R-Truth defeated CM Punk when referee Scott Armstrong gave him a fast count. Afterwards, Punk complained and said he was going to file a complaint to the higher-ups.

*Backstage with mickie james, Layla, and Michelle McCool. McCool talked down to James, then gave it back to McCool, and also called Layla "Scary Spice."
*A quick Batista/Hardy recap was shown.
*A wrestlemania 26 promo was shown.

*Matt Hardy was interviewed by Josh Matthews.
*Matt Hardy over Batista via DQ. Batista dominated the match, but also received the first boring chants of the night. This was kind of a lackluster way to end the night.
