Rhaka Khan Suing TNA

Now that her trial against Kurt Angle is over, Rhaka Khan has set her vengeance towards TNA itself.

The former WWE Diva Search contestant lost her case against Angle last week. She had made claims that the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion was stalking and harassing her. However, a judge decided that the accusations were false and Angle was deemed an innocent man.

Now, Khan has decided to set her sights on TNA. The 27 year old is expected to file a lawsuit against the company soon. The lawsuit will be based on comments that TNA allegedly made to her about pressing charges against Angle. Khan, whose real name is Trenesha Biggers, claims that TNA basically chose Angle over her (the company has yet to officially announce her release yet).

TNA No Surrender Results

The following are quick results from the No Surrender pay per view.

  • Taylor Wilde & Sarita defeated Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky.
  • Hernandez defeated Eric Young.
  • Samoa Joe defeated Christopher Daniels.
  • D'Angelo Dinero defeated Suicide.
  • ODB defeated Cody Deaner.
  • Kevin Nash defeated Abyss.
  • Team 3D & Beer Money defeated British Invasion & the Main Event Mafia.
  • Bobby Lashley defeated Rhino.
  • AJ Styles defeated Kurt Angle, Sting, and Matt Morgan.

That's a lot of matches for a pay per view.
TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship
Taylor Wilde & Sarita vs Velvet Sky & Madison Rayne
Good match. It makes you understand why TNA decided to create this title. There's plenty of talent in the division to make this work, and the match tonight proved it. Taylor Wilde & Sarita get the clean win to become the inaugural champions.
Winners: Taylor Wilde & Sarita
Match Rating: 8
Hernandez vs Eric Young
Pretty quick match. Hernandez dominated the match and got the easy win after the Border Toss. Too short to give it a higher rating.
Winner: Hernandez
Match Rating: 7
TNA X Division Championship
Samoa Joe vs Christopher Daniels

As expected, this was an extremely entertaining matchup. Makes you wonder if these two guys can have a bad match with one another. Samoa Joe gets the submission victory and rightfully retains the title.
Winner: Samoa Joe
Match Rating: 9
D'Angelo Dinero vs Suicide
Match was made more entertaining with the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation. D'Angelo Dinero gets the win and moves up the ladder a bit.
Winner: D'Angelo Dinero
Match Rating: 8
TNA Knockouts Championship
ODB vs Cody Deaner

I understand why TNA did this storyline. They wanted some comic relief. Personally, I can't stand it, so I was hoping that the match quick and easy. Fortunately, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Winner: ODB
Match Rating: 6
TNA Legends Championship
Kevin Nash vs Abyss
Decent match. Abyss has great matches when it's with mobile wrestlers. Kevin Nash is not a mobile wrestler by any means. Lots of interference from Stevie Richards and Daffney. Clever spot with Kevin Nash attacking Stevie Richards after all is said and done.
Winner: Kevin Nash
Match Rating: 7
Lethal Lockdown Match
Team 3D and Beer Money Inc vs Booker T & Scott Steiner and the British Invasion

Lots of things going on in this match. Great spots. Too many things at times. Entertaining match, though.
Winners: Team 3D and Beer Money
Match Ratings: 8
Bobby Lashley vs Rhino
Very telling story about how TNA feels about Bobby Lashley when you consider how high up on the card this match is. Quick, solid match. Looks like TNA is having Bobby Lashley using a knockout punch as a finisher now. It emphasizes his MMA background, and his previous finisher is the same as Rhino's.
Winner: Bobby Lashley
Match Rating: 7
TNA World Title Match
Kurt Angle vs Matt Morgan vs Sting vs AJ Styles vs Hernandez
Excellent match. Nice touch at the beginning with Hernandez cashing in his Feast or Fired title shot. He was taken out by Eric Young to add more heat to that feud. Sting, AJ Styles, and Kurt Angle delivered as usual. Matt Morgan proved that he deserved to be in the main event match. Great move putting the belt on AJ Styles and having him celebrate with the fans afterwards.
Winner: AJ Styles
Match Rating: 10

AJ Styles Wins TNA Title

AJ Styles is simply one of the best overall performers in the entire wrestling industry. He's the type of guy that you can put up against any other performer in the world and know that he's going to be able to keep up.
Even the diehard fans who despise everything about TNA will have trouble arguing against that.
Knowing that he's one of the best (and extremely loyal) performers, wrestling fans have been begging for TNA to put the world title on AJ Styles for quite some time now.
As the demands from the fans grew louder and louder, TNA still choose to keep the world title around the waist of others (Kurt Angle, Sting, Samoa Joe, and Mick Foley).
At the end of the No Surrender pay per view, though, TNA decided to listen to the fans. The company decided to give people what they wanted.
AJ Styles is your new TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

For the last year or so, the critics have bashed TNA for relying too heavily on the veteran wrestlers (established stars like Kurt Angle, Sting, Kevin Nash, Mick Foley, etc) instead of the younger wrestlers.
Over the last few months, though, the company has made moves to silence those critics.
There's been more of a company focus on pushing guys up from the midcard scene. The following wrestlers have been given considerable pushes and television time.

  • AJ Styles - He went from battling Booker T for the Legends title to being elevated into the main event title scene.
  • Bobby Lashley - TNA has treated Bobby Lashley like a big star since he's showed up. He'll be in the main event soon.
  • Eric Young - Eric Young went from being comic relief to establishing himself as one of the top heels in the business.
  • Hernandez - It's pretty clear to see that Hernandez has the tools to be the next big thing in professional wrestling.
  • Matt Morgan - Still not sure why WWE released this guy four years ago. He's got everything that you want in a professional wrestler.

Other wrestlers have been given good pushes over the last few months as well, but these guys were pushed the most.

The fear right now is that TNA is going to switch the title back to one of the more established heels in the company.
It would be better if AJ Styles was given a lengthy reign.
TNA is in a fortunate position where AJ Styles has plenty of heel challengers waiting for him. Samoa Joe, Matt Morgan, Kurt Angle, Booker T, and Kevin Nash. You have also guys like Sting, Mick Foley, and Bobby Lashley as well.
There's plenty of challengers to keep the belt on AJ Styles until next summer.

TNA Signs Lacey Von Erich

Earlier today, a press release was handed out by a wrestling company called Wrestlelicious (officially named Wrestlelicious, LLC). In it, we learned that Lacey Von Erich had signed a deal to become the latest TNA Knockout.
Lacey Von Erich, the daughter of the late Kerry Von Erich, is expected to start with TNA as soon as next week. Reports have surfaced that she could debut as soon as this week's episode of TNA iMPACT!
Through an agreement with TNA, Lacey Von Erich is still expected to do some work for Wrestlelicious. She is expected to be a part of the ensemble cast when the television show debuts.

TNA did not sign Lacey Von Erich to have her sitting around in a developmental program. The 23 year old wrestler is expected to start immediately.
Word going around right now is that Lacey Von Erich is going to be a part of the Beautiful People stable, joining Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky.
TNA executives did not want to wait on Angelina Love, who is still without a contract because of her work visa issues. However, the company wanted to capitalize on the name and popularity of the stable.
There's still a chance that if Angelina Love can resolve her issues and sign another contract with TNA, the stable could be expanded to include four members.

Lacey Von Erich, whose real name is Lacey Adkisson, was signed to a WWE developmental contract in August of 2007. Before the year had even ended, she was released from the contract and sent on her way.
The Los Angeles resident shares the same story with many of the ladies that have wrestled for TNA.

  • Angelina Love - The former TNA Knockouts Champion spent almost three years in the WWE developmental program.
  • ODB - A very talented performer with a great character. ODB was never given a chance by WWE because she did not fit the stereotype look that the company was looking for.
  • Sojournor Bolt - This underrated performer actually walked away from Ohio Valley Wrestling so that she could get a better chance with TNA.
  • Taylor Wilde - Another former TNA Knockouts Champion that never made it to the main roster in WWE.
  • Velvet Sky - She wanted so badly to be a part of WWE that she even tried going the Diva Search route (despite being a trained wrestler).

Several of these ladies had something to prove. It was that mentality that spread to the entire female division, which eventually led to TNA forming a division that was vastly superior to their WWE counterpart.
Lacey Von Erich, whose grandfather Fritz is a certified wrestling legend, now gets a chance to follow in the footsteps of these Knockouts.
She has something to prove. People with something to prove are very capable of great things.

Scott Steiner Retires

For several months now, Scott Steiner has been telling friends that he does not expect to remain in the wrestling business for much longer.
At 47 years of age and a body that has been broken down from the years, Scott Steiner will soon step away from the wrestling ring. The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion is about to walk away.
Scott Steiner's contract with TNA is rumored to be coming to a close a soon. He is not expected to sign a new deal unless TNA really throws out an irresistable offer.

There are many that believe that Scott Steiner's close relationship with Jeff Jarrett is a big factor in his decision to leave TNA.
For those of you that have not heard, Jeff Jarrett was sent home by TNA President Dixie Carter because of some backstage issues involving Kurt Angle and Karen Angle.
There's a very good chance that Jeff Jarrett does not return to TNA. Some believe that the situation would not be one that Scott Steiner would approve of.
However, it's easy to dispute this theory because Scott Steiner has been a professional ever since Jeff Jarrett was sent home. He still shows up for work and performs well.

The most likely factor in Scott Steiner retiring is his physical condition.
While he is still an incredible physical specimen, there's not a single person on earth that would not be affected by 23 years of wrestling. Hard to believe sometimes, but Scott Steiner has been in the business since 1986.
It takes longer now for Scott Steiner to recover from his matches. Close friends say that it's excruciating to watch the former NCAA All American wrestler struggling to get into a car.
Scott Steiner still wants to perform and entertain. However, this is quickly becoming one of those situations where the heart does not want what the head needs.

Scott Steiner has already left his mark on the world of professional wrestling. He's a certified Hall of Fame inductee (well, maybe not in the eyes of Vince McMahon and friends).
While a lot of the younger wrestling fans will remember him as being the genetically jacked singles star, the older wrestling fans will remember him as being the top wrestler in the world at one point while he was teaming with his brother (Rick Steiner).
Very few wrestlers have ever had a moveset that's as impressive as Scott Steiner's moveset was back then. Every imaginable suplex you could think of, he did. His Frankensteiner finishing move will forever rank as one of the best of all time.
Scott Steiner also leaves behind a legacy with his backstage behavior over the years. During his days in WCW, he was known to have been completely out of control.
He's calmed down quite a bit with age. Folks in TNA and WWE have stated that he's a professional who generally has been able to get along with the other wrestlers in the locker room.

Power 25 Divas

24 - Hart Dynasty: Smith, Natalya, Kidd
Following last week's success in tag team action, this impressive, young trio breaks onto the P25 after DH Smith defeated JTG in singles action Friday night on SmackDown.

23 - Alicia Fox
Although the No. 1 contender to the Divas Championship wasn't in action this week, she did capitalize on an opportunity to get in Mickie James's head by attacking the Divas Champion after her loss to Beth Phoenix.

21 - Michelle McCool
Making up for her one-on-one loss to Melina, the Women's Champion cleared the way for her team to be victorious on "WWE Superstars," delivering a kick to Maria's head that allowed Layla to get the pin.

18 - Mickie James
Things aren't looking good for the Divas Champion after what happened on Raw. Not only did she lose against Beth Phoenix, but she also fell victim to a post-match attack by No. 1 contender Alicia Fox.

Almost Making the List
Beth Phoenix
With a win over Divas Champion Mickie James, The Glamazon could be a win away from breaking back onto the P25.

Gread Edition Hailz! Love all the love TNA has been getting, the company seems to finally have their shit together, lots of great changes within TNA. I agree that they are doing great in pushing the midcard talent such as Hernandez,Eric Young and Matt Morgan.

Sucks that Scott is retiring but that free's up roster space.

I am happy that AJ Styles is champion, he more then deserves it. He does have alot of challenges waiting for him. Hopefully he gets a lenghty reign.

Love that Alicia Fox is in the Power 25<3 YAY!!!!!
