Today’s History Lesson—October 25th

10/25/1992—at WCW Halloween Havoc, Ron Simmons defeats Cactus Jack, to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

10/25/1998—highlights from WCW Halloween Havoc
-Chris Jericho defeats Raven, to retain the WCW World Television Championship.
-Billy Kidman defeats Disco Inferno, to retain the Cruiserweight Championship.
-Rick Steiner and Buff Bagwell defeat Scott Steiner and The Giant, to win the WCW World Tag Team Championship.
-Bret Hart defeats Sting, to retain the United States Championship.
-Goldberg defeats DDP, to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. This match also aired in it’s entirety, on Nitro the following night, as many people lost the pay-per-view feed at 11pm, while this match was taking place.

10/25/1999—Ivory defeats The Fabulous Moolah, to win the WWF Women’s Championship.

10/25/2003—Stephanie McMahon and Triple H get married in Sleepy Hollow, New York.

10/25/2009—highlights from WWE Bragging Rights
-Team Smackdown defeats Team Raw in the 7-on-7 Bragging Rights Match.
-Undertaker retains the World Heavyweight Championship, defeating Rey Mysterio, Batista, and CM Punk. Batista turns heel after this match, and begins attacking Mysterio, for costing Batista the title.
-In a 60-minute Anything Goes Iron Man match, John Cena defeats Randy Orton, to win the WWE Championship.
