WWE Smackdown on Friday, August 16 leading into Summerslam scored a 1.83 rating, down from a 1.90 rating last week and 1.99 rating two weeks ago. It was the lowest rating in one month.
Smackdown averaged 2.400 million viewers, down four percent from last week's average. It was also the fewest viewers in one month.
On cable TV Friday night, Smackdown ranked #6 in overall viewers, #3 among males 18-34, and #2 among males 18-49 on a weak night for television. In the first hour, Smackdown did rank #1 in all key male demos.
In the week-to-week ratings, Smackdown actually increased one-tenth of a rating in key male demos, but Smackdown dropped significantly among teen males. Smackdown also apparently dropped in the older demo outside of the 18-49 range to explain the overall rating decreasing. | |
