WWE Smackdown on Friday, May 24 scored a 1.86 rating following the Extreme Rules PPV, improving one-tenth of a rating compared to the previous week's show. It was even with Smackdown two weeks earlier on May 10.
Smackdown averaged 2.47 million viewers, only slightly more than the May 17 Smackdown, which averaged 2.44 million viewers leading into Extreme Rules.
On cable TV Friday night, Smackdown ranked #3 in overall viewers, #7 in males 18-34, and #5 in males 18-49. Friday night was dominated by the NBA Playoffs, which drew about seven million viewers.
Also, Smackdown is about even with this point last year. The May 25, 2012 Smackdown scored a 1.84 rating, but last year's Smackdown was up one-tenth to two-tenths of a rating in the key male demos. | |
