Spoilers for November 24...

Karen Jarrett comes out for a promo with Gail Kim, Madison Rayne, and Traci Brooks. Karen then calls out the other Knockouts and sets up a Lingerie match later in the night.

Match Number Two: Velvet Sky, Brooke Tessmacher, and Tara defeated Madison Rayne, Winter, and Angelina Love in a lingerie match. All six came out in their own variations of lingerie and posed before the match began. Mickie James, who appeared to be injured, came out and prevented Madison from cheating. Velvet pinned Madison.

I hope Mickie is not injured and wtf having Mickie and Gail out of action?

What I found funny about Mickie's lingerie match in WWE in 2005 was her lingerie looked a lot like her regular ring gear, complete with the short skirt. smile

I am amused by one of the outraged responses on DD saying that a sexually oriented match is "out of character" for Winter. Because a lesbian vampire seductress gimmick has no sexual conotations, whatsoever, y'know...

Spoilers for this week’s Impact Wrestling:

* Mickie James defeated ODB in a Knockout’s Street Fight via a spinning kick while ODB was holding a chair. The match went to the backstage area before coming back to ringside. ODB tried to hit Mickie with the chair before Mickie countered with the kick.

* Backstage they showed the Winter, Angelina Love, Tara, Brooke Tessmacher, Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky washing a car in bikinis. There was a disagreement among Tara and Angelina and all of them proceeded to attack each other. Members of the TNA roster such as Pope, Doug Williams, Jesse Neal, Kid Kash, and others came over to watch and attempt to calm them down Gail Kim showed up and sprayed at them with hoses.

It's not like TNA trying to be a mix of Attitude/Ruthless Agression Era WWE and WCW is anything new. They've been like this for a few years, now. This is the company that thought putting Hogan & Bischoff on would give them immediate 3.0 and higher ratings. This is the company that thought resurrecting the Jarrett-Chyna feud from 12 years ago would be money.

Keep in mind the Divas haven't done this sort of thing in years. When WWE went PG and the Divas became Disney-esque, TNA made the Knockouts raunchier in response. They tried to take over the annual Playboy issue when WWE broke ties to Bunnymag, even doing a shoot, only for Playboy to decide TNA didn't have the brand recognition of WWE, banishing the pics to their Cyber Club.

Remember the stipulation requiring Daffney to perform a striptease? Lacey lifting Kelly's old exhibitionist gimmick? Winter the Vampire Lesbian Seductress?

TNA defines itself largely by not being the PG show. So, the Kockouts have since been defined by not being those Disney-like Divas.

Spoilers for December 8...

* Mickie James defeated Madison Rayne via the Mickie-DT. Gail came to the ramp and stared at her.
* They show Karen Jarrett, Traci & Gail Kim backstage and it appears that Gail has to wrestle tonight prior to Sunday and says that she will wrestle Traci. Karen says out of fairness, it should be a fine match but then counters by saying she is not a fair woman and tells Traci to go out there and lay down for Gail and wants no funny business.

* TNA Women’s Knockout Champion Gail Kim beat Traci. Traci laid down for Gail but kicked out at two and fought back at Gail. Traci had her beaten but Karen came out and distracted the referee and while he was distracted, Madison Rayne came in and hit Traci with the Knockouts Tag Title, allowing Gail to get the win.

Nice to have two belts but wtf does it say that Traci Brooks had your KO Champ Gail Kim beat and Gail only won with interference..

So stupid..

They need to have had Gail beat that bitch on her won with no funny business.

Madison says they are both fired. Sting comes out. Madison says there’s no need for him to come out. He says Karen was VP of the knockouts, not here. Madison has no power. Sting tells Gail that she will be defending the world title against this woman tonight. Mickie James comes to the stage.

* In the main event, Gail Kim defeated Mickie James to retain the Knockout’s Championship. Lengthy match. Mickie had the match won, but Gail went to the outside. The referee went to check on her and a masked woman (believed to eventually be Melina) came in the ring and hit Madison Rayne’s finisher on Mickie. Gail came back in the ring and made the cover.

As previously noted, TNA in assocation with Endemol is producing a new television series for the Indian market. Tapings took place this week with former Knockouts Champion Mickie James and Cheerleader Melissa on hand.

The show will be titled Ring Ka King (King of the Ring in Hindi) and air on the Colors network from January.

Winner(s): Eric Young by DQ

Eric Young defeated Angelina Love (with Winter) by disqualification when Angelina kicked Young low.

After the match, Winter and Angelina attacked Young until ODB came out to make the save. Angelina and Winter got the advantage on ODB too until Young got a second wind and threw Angelina and Winter out of the ring. Young kissed ODB.

February 2nd:
* Tara def. Gail Kim with the Widow’s Peak in a NON Title match. The crowd was a bit quiet after seeing two action packed title matches beforehand, but they won the crowd over. One or two slip ups during the match but a good match.

February 9th:
* Velvet Sky def. Mickie James in what was described as not a very good match. Crowd were behind Velvet but switched allegiances to Mickie “almost in sympathy”.

I don't know why they had the PPV match before the PPV in a nontitle format.

Seems odd.

That is what happened to Tara [Victoria] when she was feuding with Mickie in WWE late 2006.

She pinned Mickie in a non title match but then 1 and a half weeks later she lost the title match to Mickie at New Year's Revolution.

I can't see her beating Gail again in a singles match so it looks like she is losing the title match.

I am glad that Gail is wrestling on tv though.. It seems she barely does that even though she is a double champ.

* Madison Rayne got on the mic before the Battle Royal to say How generous of a champion Gail Kim is to give all of the women in the ring a shot to become theI #1 contender.

* In a 10 woman over the top rope battle royal, Madison Rayne won last eliminating Velvet Sky. Velvet eliminated both Sarita last and it seemed like she won until Madison, who was sitting with Gail Kim at ringside went in the ring and threw Velvet out last. Gail Kim did not appear happy about it.

ODB wins via pinfall after a TKO. While the ref was distracted by Eric Young, Madison tried to get Gail to interfere but as Gail tried to climb the apron, she fumbled her title belt and was unable to pick it back up in time. This allowed ODB to regain control and she planted Madison into the canvas with a TKO.

Quote :: After the break, TNA tag champs Samoa Joe and Magnus are out. They are joined by… Knockouts Gail Kim? Gail’s outfit does not look appropriate for ring work, but I’m sure it’s okay and perfectly normal. TV champ Devon comes out to a big pop. As in, surprisingly big. Gail has a mic. I just clued into that this is all of the champs coming to the ring. I had a really strange idea of what match was getting set up. X Division champ Austin Aries is out next, weakest pop thus far. Finally, TNA World Hvt. champion Bobby Roode. Roode is still perfecting the slow walk.

Out comes Hogan. Biggest pop and pyro thus far. Gail has ceded her mic to Roode. Hogan announces that change is in the air, and starting next week change is coming. Once a month, Impact will be called “open fight night.” Basically, a talent from outside TNA will show up to have a match. There will be three judges (smells like “The Voice”) and Hogan who will decide if the person get a contract or not.

But, there’s more!

On open fight night, anyone can come to the ring and make a challenge, and whoever the person challenges must come to the ring to fight. Roode is pissy. Hogan tells them that any champion must be ready to fight. Gail asks who decides this. Hogan decides. And, the crowd randomly chants for Miss Tessmacher. Hogan says he wants to hear who the fans want to see. Clearly, it’s the responsibility of someone to call out Hogan next week. Just saying.

Devon talks about how he promised to be a fighting champ. (Really? Wasn’t he MIA between PPVs?) Hogan announces that from now on, the TV Title will be defended every single week. Devon likes it. Hogan closes the segment with a statement that on open fight night, everyone fights. Roode looks dismayed. I shrug. Roode shrugs. We have a moment. Everyone leaves but Gail. It looks like it’s time to test that outfit.

Quote :: Next out are Madison Rayne and Sarita & Rosita. Whichever one in the green can’t figure out how to stand. Out come Tara and Tessmacher. Finally, Mickie James. No wait, Velvet Sky. Eight-woman tag? I’m getting why the Knockout matches are popular with the collection of 13 year-old boys at ringside.

(3) Team Tessmacher beat Team Rayne in a Knockouts tag match. Sky starts off with various spots and clubbering. James comes in and looks basically solid. Wasn’t she told to lose weight in the WWE? Sheesh, this isn’t a ring masterpiece, but I’d take this over Kelly Kelly in the ring any day. This whole match reminds me of a slutty version of the cruiserweight matches in WCW during the ’90s. A lot less talent, but spots that the crowd likes and some genuine engagement from the crowd. I suppose Eric didn’t know what to do with them back then either. It turns into a Jr. High School cheerleader brawl, and Tessmacher rolls up KO champ Gail for the win, and presumably sets up a match down the road.

Afterward, there’s some bickering in the ring as Gail gives her best scowl and points to the belt. More bickering. Madison wants to go again, and the crowd is interested. Instead, they all leave.

Sounds like a good segment with all* the champs [what about KO Tag Champs ODB/Young?].

The KO tag match seems cool.

Random to have Tessmacher pin Gail when she has been MIA for a long time.. But whatever I don't think they would put the belt on her so it should set up another title defense for Gail which is good to me!

April 26th

Brooke Tessmacher comes out and says the world is talking about her pinning Gail Kim last week and challenges Gail to a match, even if it is non-title.

* Brooke Tessmacher beat TNA Knockout Women’s Champion Gail Kim with a roll-up in a non-title match.

Xplosion:
Velvet Sky defeated Sarita via In Yo Face.

I want the tag belt off the dude (To quote Lita, "Harvey Wippleman did nothing for the Women's Championship."), but I don't want it back on Gail, either. She's great, and all, but she's already got a Championship. The whole point of the tag belts is to give the Knockouts not in the title hunt something to do. Remember Rosita and Sarita? Winter?

Is Angelina now officially 2007-08 Victoria?

Well yeah they need to get the belts off of the guy however I like the team of Gail/Madison so I don't care if they win the belt.

Plus the way I see it Gail should be losing the KO Title any day now so even if she becomes a double champ again it shouldn't be for too long.

After her rematch clause she could focus more on the tag titles and hopefully elevate those belts since they are desperately needing some prestige.

I do wish they'd book her as looking stronger, though. Cheating to win against Mickie is one thing, but can't they let her get clean pins in big matches over somebody? That's hurting her reign. You want someone eventually taking the title off her to be a big deal. Trish & Beth winning all their title defences cleanly for so long is what made Mickie beating them so huge. She beat the seemingly unbeatable.

I think we can also safely say this is Gail's farewell tour. So, I think they should be booking it as such. It should be about cementing her legacy, at this point.

Of course, being from Toronto, she might retire as Champion. Edge has made that a tradition, now. smile

I also think she needs to beating people cleanly..

She should only have to resort to underhanded tactics with people who have a lot of experience like Mickie, Madison, Sarita, Tara, and maybe a couple others.

Anyone else should be easily beaten by here.
