TNA British Boot Camp Winner(s) Revealed

TNA’s British Boot Camp reality show, which gave British independent wrestling talent the chance to compete for a TNA contract, aired its finale tonight in the UK. The winner of the contract was revealed to be not Hannah or Holly Blossom, but Rockstar Spud.

Though the Blossom Twins came up short in their quest to become TNA Knockouts, TNA President Dixie Carter has promised to give them a second chance at the big time. This week, the twins will try out for positions on the roster as TNA continues its Road to Lockdown tour in the UK.

Impact Wrestling Spoilers: January 31st & February 7th, 2013

Airing January 31st:
* Bully Ray & Brooke Hogan request Hulk Hogan lifts his suspension in an in-ring segment. Sting comes out and supports the request. Hogan reinstates Ray.

* Velvet Sky and James Storm beat Tara and Jessie. Straight forward mixed tag match with Velvet pinning Tara.

Airing February 7th:
* Miss Tessmacher beat Tara in a non-title match.

* Sting and Bully Ray beat Devon and DOC. Bully Ray put Devon through the table. Afterwards, the Hogans came out to celebrate with them.

In a Knockouts Title four way elimination match, Velvet Sky was crowned the new champion.
Tara was the first Knockout eliminated meaning a new champion would be crowned.

Brooke Tessmacher was second eliminated, Gail third.

February 14th:
The Blossom Twins make their Impact debut teaming with British Boot Camp’s Marty Scurll to take on Gail Kim, Tara & Jesse start. Tara tagged in. A Blossom comes in & controls Tara. Blossom double team & near fall on Tara. Gail tags in and Blossoms controls her, back elbow from middle rope & near fall. Gail briefly regains control, Jesse distracts Taryn Terrell & Tara kicks the Blossom in the back as she hits the ropes. Gail slams Blossom’s head into Tara’s boot. Tara in now & does same boot spot with Gail. Gail back in and gets near fall. Gail with her shoulder move through the middle rope in corner. Tara in now. Tara hoists Blossom up by hair. Tara with shimmy moonsault but misses. Blossom tags in other Blossom, Tara tags Gail and fresh Blossom controls. Blossoms take it to both Gail & Tara. Double team splash off shoulders for near fall on Gail. Tara kicked out of the ring. Jesse gets in the ring and Marty with missile dropkick takes him out. Blossom goes for a move, Gail counters into Eat Defeat for the win!

After the match, Gail on mic says she proved she’s most dominant Knockout & thanks Taryn for not being blonde and incompetent for once & doing job right. Says to Tara, you have something I want referring to Knockouts Championship. Gail says Brooke Hogan will make Tara will defend title next week and wants Brooke to come out and give the match to her. Brooke will give Gail a title match… but makes it three-way match with Brooke Tessmacher. Brooke comes out and poses on the ramp. Brooke Hogan says she’s not done… Velvet Sky will be in the match too, making it a four-way elimination . Velvet comes out & poses on ramp with Tessmacher. To make sure there’s no shenanigans, Brooke Hogan will sit ringside.

February 24th:
Knockouts Title four-way elimination match. Velvet out first in pink furry boots (don’t tell Melina!), Gail & Brooke follow. Music miscue as Tara comes out but Brooke Hogan’s music plays, they quickly change it to the right one. Brooke Hogan at ringside to watch the match. Taryn Terrell throws Jesse out of ringside.

Gail & Brooke in one corner, Tara & Velvet in the other. Victory roll by Brooke on Gail, Tara rolls up Brooke, Velvet rolls up Tara. Brooke goes for victory roll on Tara but she drops her on her back. Gail & Tara double team & taunt Velvet. Velvet tries to fight back but they beat her down. Tara splash in corner followed by Gail shoulder dive through the ropes. Tara with spinning side slam for pin but Gail breaks it up. Gail & Tara argue now. Gail shoves Tara, Tara and Gail exchange blows. Tara tosses Gail overhead. Tara misses splash in corner as Gail hops over the rope & Brooke Tessmacher pulls her down from the apron on the outside. Brooke hits a Stratusfaction on Gail on the outside which gets a big pop! Back in ring, Brooke & Velvet fight Tara. Velvet guillotined over top rope by Tara. Tara then trips Brooke and she lands neck first on bottom rope. Crowd are behind Velvet Sky. Tara up top for a beautiful moonsault on Brooke. Velvet goes for In Yo Face on Tara. Velvet tries to pin Tara but Gail breaks it up and pins Tara herself. Tara is eliminated… a new champion will be crowned tonight! Brooke & Gail fight in the ring. Brooke & Gail up top, Velvet joins… triple suplex! TNA chant breaks out! Velvet pins & eliminates Brooke. Velvet hits In Yo Face on Gail to win the Knockouts Championship. I think Taryn got involved and cost Gail the title.

Taryn Terrell came out to apologize for attacking Gail Kim again on Impact last week. Gail Kim then came out and told her that she's gone too far and asks for Brooke Hogan to come out. Brooke fires Terrell, but then Brooke re-hires her as a TNA Knockout. Terrell and Kim brawl to the back while Brooke looks on from the ramp.

Bully Ray then came out and stalked Brooke until she turned around. They argued, then Bully held his hand up as if he were about to hit her, but he didn't. She then went backstage.

Impact Wrestling Spoilers: April 4th, 2013

Gail Kim and Tara (w/Jessie) defeated Velvet Sky and Taryn Terrell with Joey Ryan as special referee. Ryan had several sleazy moments gawking at the girls. Gail flirted with Joey and he fast counted a rollup on Taryn to give the heel team the win. After the match, Velvet distracted Joey and Taryn delivered a low blow.

4-18-13 Impact KO Spoilers:

Mickie James defeated Miss Tessmacher. ODB was special referee. The crowd came alive for Mickie more than the local Miss Tessmacher (Houston is not too far from Corpus Christi for her). Mickie hit her up top for a close one. These ladies are way superior to any Divas match featured here before and the crowd was pretty entertained. In a sloppy finish, Mickie won with a roll up pin gone wrong.

Impact Wrestling [May 30th, 2013]

* Mickie James came to the ring to celebrate her title win from last week. She said it has been almost two years since she was the title. She thanks for the fans and says she loves them. She said there has been a minute handful who have doubted how she won the title. She said it is not fair and she deserves the belt and would like to address it right now and calls out her dear friend Velvet Sky. Velvet comes out, noticeably with her knee tapes up. Mickie says she said she was willing to wait until Velvet was 100% ready and calls her a fighting champion. She asks the fans to give it up for Velvet. Velvet takes the mic and says the support from the fans has been great. At the end of the day though she wants her rematch. Mickie says the rematch can be whenever and Velvet requests for Slammiversary. Mickie says she already spoke with Brooke who already signed Gail and Taryn for Slammiversary. Gail’s music hits. Gail claims Mickie won the title with her help after she destroyed Velvet’s leg and says that she has been frustrated for a long time. Gail and Velvet bicker over who is next in line. Gail kicks Velvet in her bad knee and goes to do her let submission in the turnbuckle. Taryn chases Gail off. Mickie slowly backs up the ramp and leaves. Velvet is helped to the back. Up next we have an intergender tag.

* Chris Sabin and Taryn Tarrell defeated Kenny King & Gail Kim when Sabin hit his cross legged sit out piledriver. Sabin took a mic and said after two torn ACLs and two years of physical surgery he becomes a 5-time X-Division Champion. Kenny hits him with the belt. He goes to hit the Royal Flush on Sabin but Suicide runs out and hits his move on Kenny. He picks up the belt and looks at it as he and Sabin have a staredown.

Ohio Valley Wrestling filmed this week’s episode last night in Louisville, Kentucky. This will be the final episode to air before their monthly Saturday Night Special event on June 1st. Spoilers below:

Pre-show Dark Match: Lovely Lylah vs. Lei’d Tapa – Lylah shoves Tapa, and Tapa shoves her back. Lylah runs off the ropes and runs into Tapa, but bounces off of her. Tapa throws Lylah in the corner and charges, but Lylah moves. She mounts Tapa and begins to punch her, but Tapa grabs her and powerbombs her. She starts the pin, but breaks it, and decides to deliver more punishment. Tapa kicks Lylah and places her in a headlock. She throws Lylah into the ropes and hits a big clothesline. Lylah tries to fire back with some forearm shots, and tries to roll Tapa up, but Tapa holds the ropes. She grabs Lylah and hits her spinning diamond cutter finisher for 3. WINNER: TAPA by pinfall.

* Taeler is talking to Nikki St. John and it was hard to hear, but it appeared that Taeler & Nikki were working together to bring Heidi to their side, and were setting something up. We then see Jay Bradley arguing with Jessie Godderz about stealing his title shot. Jessie said anyone could sign that contract, except for Jay, and you can call him “Mr. Opportunity”. Jamin Olivencia walks in and says they think they’re so tough, but he can beat both of them and how about a 3-way match later tonight. Tony Gunn is then seen talking to Randy Royal about Randy throwing Dylan Bostic over the top rope last week. Royal says it was a fluke and tells Gunn he is taking care of business and to trust him. They bump fists. We then see Heidi approach Taeler & Nikki. Taeler tells Heidi that Trina has been saying things behind her back about her & Taeler.

* OVW WOMEN’S TITLE: Epiphany (w/Eddie Diamond & Timmy Danger) vs. Trina (c) – Epiphany kicks Trina and then does a headlock takedown. Epiphany with a slam and a powerslam, followed by a splash in the corner. She only gets 2. Trina starts to fire back, but Epiphany kicks her and goes for her finisher, but Trina slides out and hits a faceplant DDT for 3. WINNER: TRINA by pinfall.

* In the back, Heidi catches Trina as she comes back through the curtain. She says she’s heard about all the stuff she said behind her back and challenges her to a match at SNS for the OVW Women’s Title.

Post-show Dark Match: Nikki St. John & Taeler Hendrix vs. Holly & Hannah Blossom – Holly starts with Taeler and Taeler & Nikki take the early advantage. Holly finally gets the hot tag to Hannah. Hannah with a back elbow and a forearm to Nikki. Hannah suplexes Nikki for 2. Taeler & Nikki try to double team Hannah, but Holly grabs Taeler from the outside and pulls her out. Nikki turns around into a Blossom Kick for 3. WINNERS: BLOSSOMS by pinfall.

* Velvet Sky came out and called out Mickie James. Basically, Velvet presented Mickie with a letter from her doctor saying she was cleared to wrestle and wants her rematch. Mickie told her she could’ve gotten this off the internet. Velvet demanded an answer and Mickie said “why is this letter dated yesterday when your knee is still hurt today?” then turned full heel and took Velvet out by kicking her in the knee and put her in a reverse STF until the referees separated them and then had to help Velvet to the back.

* Mickie James defeated Velvet Sky to retain the TNA Knockouts Title. Velvet cried during an interview.

July 11th, 2013 Impact Spoilers:

4. Gail Kim defeated Taryn Terrell in a ladder match. Mickie James was seated on the railing next to the fans. There were a lot of your typical bumps for this one. A "this is awesome" chant broke out. Taryn brought another ladder out. They teased a spot with Gail Kim laying on the second ladder but she rolled out. There was a very nice splash from Taryn from the top of the ladder. Finally, Gail won by tying Taryn's hair to the ropes. The Knockouts had an awesome match with plenty of time to work with. The crowd was into it and they went all out. The best match of the TV taping for either show by far.

TNA Xplosion: ODB defeated Tara. Both were over and worked the crowd great. Big “ODB” chants, and she acknowledged with her signature smacking-of-the-boobs to honor the crowd. You know, it’s kind of like the new version of Kamala’s stomach-patting, except it’s awesome. ODB hit the Bronco Muncher at one point. Seriously, that’s what it’s called. I just looked it up. Tara took over, but missed the shimmy-shimmy-shake moonsault. ODB won with the Bam. Good opener that pumped up the crowd well. I wish they’d been given more time.

July 4th, 2013:
* Mickie James came out with a ladder to promo a #1 contender ladder match between Gail Kim and Taryn Terrell for the 7/11 show. Mickie is great as the condescending arrogant heel. Mickie said it didn’t matter who won because she would beat either one of them.

July 11th, 2013:
* Gail Kim beat Taryn Terrell in a ladder match to become #1 contender to the Knockouts Title at 11:36. Excellent match, billed as the first-ever Knockouts ladder match. You can’t really compare it to their last-Knockout-standing match from Slammiversary because they were so different, but in a very good way. Early on, one of Taryn’s hair extensions fell off her head. I can only assume that’s her version of Jerry Lawler pulling the strap down. Another hair extension defected, which referee ODB put in her pocket. The thing hung halfway out of ODB’s pocket throughout the match, which amused me. Gail went for the figure-four-around-the-post, but Taryn kicked her off. Gail made a “THUD” just as loud as Manic, but she was up in time to thwart Taryn’s climb, so not only is Gail Kim the greatest woman wrestler in North American history, she’s also tougher than a guy with a skull mask. Many great, innovative spots, including Gail hooking the figure-four on Taryn THROUGH THE LADDER and Taryn not selling it a minute later (which was the only negative to the match). The first ladder remained standing throughout the match (which might be a first), and a second ladder was added as a platform between the first ladder and the ropes. At one point when both women were down, fans loudly chanted “ODB,” as she was still over from the first match. ODB even slyly looked up at the contract as if she was contemplating making a grab for it herself. ODB is a phenomenal performer who can interact with a crowd perfectly. They did a nice shove-off-the-attempted-cutter spot. Taryn climbed and was about to snag the contract, but she saw Gail was headed for her, so she hit a beautiful flying bodypress off the ladder. Taryn grabbed Gail in a move I called a “half-naked choke.” Fans chanted “This is awesome” and “TNA” for the match. Clever finish saw Gail grab Taryn’s hair and tie it to the second rope in a knot. Gail climbed quickly and retrieved the contract for the win. Massive pop for the match. Taryn had accidentally untangled herself too quickly, but still sold enough so that Gail’s win looked good. Just like how Shawn Michaels accidentally untangled his leg at WrestleMania 10, then recovered by trapping his own arm! Fans even gave Taryn a standing ovation as ODB helped her to the back (except for one rude guy in a wheelchair). Seriously, this was spectacular. I can’t say enough about Gail and Taryn. They’re having the feud of the year and carving out some great history not just for women’s wrestling, but wrestling in general. A must-see PPV-quality match.

* Mickie James vs. Gail Kim for the Knockouts Championship: The crowd was behind ODB as she officiated the match. The finish came when Mickie went outside and Gail slapped ODB, only to get rolled up by Mickie when she came back in.

After the match, Gail got in ODB’s face and Brooke Hogan came out to remind Gail that ODB is still an active competitor.

He refuses to wrestle in the bunny suit and Danny Davis is reviewing it.

* FEMME FATALE BATTLE ROYAL TO CROWN #1 CONTENDER FOR THE OVW WOMEN’S TITLE: (In order of entry) Taeler Hendrix, Heidi Lovelace, Hannah Blossom, Nikki St. John, Holly Blossom, Lovely Lylah, Jessie Belle, Lei’d Tapa, & Envy – Taeler & Nikki eliminate Holly, Tapa eliminates Hannah, Taeler, Nikki, Jessie Belle, Lylah, & Envy. Tapa goes to powerbomb Heidi out of the ring, but Heidi holds on to the top rope and headscissors Tapa over for the win. WINNER and #1 CONTENDER: HEIDI.

* Trina gets in the ring to congratulate Heidi. Tapa reenters the ring and Heidi turns into a big boot. Trina then gets the spinning diamond cutter finisher as Tapa yells that this is her island and holds up the OVW Women’s Title. The Assassin comes out to help Trina & Heidi up and raises their hands.

She throws a Sharpie at them and says to mark who she is fighting. Before the Blossoms can decide, the Bodyguy’s voice comes over the speakers. He says it is time for his big debut. He comes to the ring and says “If the ladies don’t mind, and I know they don’t, watch me as I take off my robe.” Before he can (thankfully), the Assassin’s music hits, and he takes the Bodyguy out with a huge clothesline.

Why couldn't they just wait till bound for glory? Isn't it like next month.

ODB beating Mickie when it looked like she was going to get a good reign really upsets me..

WTF?! If they were going to do it they should have just waited for BFG. I just hate when people win belts a month before big PPVs because then it seems unlikely that the will lose the belt at the actual PPV. If the champ of 1 month lost the belt at the big PPV usually I would be upset since I hate short title reigns.. It depends on the person and atm I'm not liking ODB. Poor Mickie getting screwed out of a better reign.

On the bright side Gail may be getting it after ODB. Or Tessmacher since she is with Bully now and I could see them trying to become a power couple.

I'm glad Tessmacher and Velvet wrestled but where was Gail..?

Tapa debuting is good since TNA needs KOs but I still don't think she is ready especially to become KO champion [if that is the route they are going]..

Impact Wrestling Spoilers: November 28th, 2013

* Lei’D Tapa defeated Velvet Sky.

* Backstage segment with BroMans, Zema Ion, Eric Young and ODB. There will be a tag match against Dewey Barnes and Norv Fernum in turkey suits.

* Eric Young and ODB come to the ring with turkey suits. Zema Ion comes out next with his own DJ turntables and introduces BroMans. BroMans end up beating Barnes and Fernum. After the match, Fernum and Barnes dance around in turkey suits with ODB and EY.

* Everyone who has won a match comes out for the “Winner Winner Turkey Dinner” segment. Everyone talks about what they’re thankful for until Bobby Roode starts ripping Kurt Angle. Angle comes out and Roode challenges him to enter the ring for a beatdown. Angle ends up coming to the ring with ODB, Eric Young, Gunner, James Storm and Velvet Sky. Impact ends with a huge food fight.

Impact Wrestling Spoilers: December 12th, 2013

* Gail Kim comes out for the Gail Kim Open Challenge. ODB comes out but she is out to fight Lei’D Tapa. They brawl and it is a two on one attack. Madison Rayne comes out to help ODB.

I really would love for Candice La Rae and Cherry Bomb would be used full time on the roster. They are both really talented women and would be really good additions to a failing group of women. Madison coming back is another good thing. It sounds like she will be coming back a face.....that is going to be shaky bc she is a much much better heel.

12-19-13 Impact Spoilers:

*** ODB & Madison Rayne defeated Gail Kim & Lei’d Tapa.
- The finish happened when Madison rolled up Gail out of an Eat Defeat. Tapa was on the outside attacking ODB and missed the chance to make the save.

12-26-13 Impact Spoilers (so far):

* Brooke Tessmacher came out with new music and grabbed a mic. She said it has been weeks she has seen or talked to Bully Ray. She said she refuses to take blame for this. She asks Bully Ray to come out I tell the world the truth.

He comes to the ring. Brooke holds his hand and says we can fix this. She says it is neither of their faults. Ray pulls his hand away. She says she is done being his dog. He was the one who told her to throw the hammer. She said he was supposed to be his ticket to the spotlight. She says that he is that miserable kid in high school who has no friends. She yells at him to look at her. She says she is not afraid of him. She calls him an old fat man.

She goes to leave and Ray grabs her arm. He says she is done when he is done with her. He doesn’t blame her for him losing the belt or the Aces & 8′s. He says just look at her, she is not much in the brains department. He kept her around because he has certain uses for her and she wasn’t good at those uses. He said sometimes he would close his eyes and pretend she was Brooke #1. He could piledrive her on her ugly face like he did Anderson but he won’t do that. He says he just asks her to let everyone know that they need to be on watch and it is going to be a lot worse. He backs her up to the ropes and he says he is done with her. “Leave.”

* Gail Kim & Lei’d Tapa came out for a promo and asked Tapa how did Madison pin her
(Gail). She said it was a fluke. She said two weeks ago ODB stuck her nose into her business. She said when she sticks her nose into her business it becomes Tapa’s business and tells her to come out to learn a valuable lesson.

*** Lei’d Tapa defeated ODB.
- Gail got involved while the ref was distracted. Tapa hit her finisher on ODB and won.
