Jamie Noble Underrated

Browse around on various message boards across the internet, and you get a good feel of what the internet wrestling community thinks.
On the rare occasion that Jamie Noble's name does get mentioned, there's generally two types of reaction that you will see. Some are in shock that he's still on the WWE payroll, while others believe that he's just a "waste of space."
Very rarely do you see Jamie Noble being praised by the vast majority of the internet wrestling community.
Jamie Noble gets overlooked because he doesn't get a huge push. He also doesn't have the cool catchphrases or the comedic gimmick like Santino Marella or Charlie Haas (back when he was impersonating every wrestler under the sun).
He has a redneck gimmick, but it hardly gets any exposure on television nowadays.
To the casual wrestling fan, he's just another person on the roster.

To the hardcore fans that understands the business, though, Jamie Noble is a lot like the Transformers. There's more than meets the eyes.
In basketball, you hear the term "coach on the floor" used pretty often when there's a veteran guard that understands the offensive system completely and knows what it takes to make it run like a well-oiled machine.
To apply the term to wrestling, Jamie Noble is a "coach in the ring."
Jamie Noble is the guy that you throw into matches against younger and less experienced wrestlers. He can make a new wrestler look credible in their television debut.
He can also spend weeks working with a lesser experienced wrestler on the house show circuit and help them improve.
It takes a special type of person to spend that much time working with someone else just to see them (and not you) being elevated to a spot on the weekly television shows.

While so many people have Jamie Noble on their "Next To Be Released" list, he might have a lot more job security than you know.
The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion has a great mind for the business. WWE actually once entrusted the booking for the cruiserweight division to Jamie Noble. He was in charge of a group of wrestlers.
While it wasn't a major success (partly due to Vince McMahon not wanting it to be), Jamie Noble still received praise for the work that he put in.
The belief is that he will be available for a front office job after he retires from in-ring competition. Since he's still physically capable (Jamie Noble is only 32 years old), the company will keep using him to fill a role on the roster.

Lesnar Defeats Mir

When Brock Lesnar first announced that he was going to pursue a career in MMA, a lot of people brushed it off like they did when he failed at his attempt to become an NFL star.
When Brock Lesnar defeated Min-Soo Kim (a man who fought former WWE and WCW star Sean O'Haire) rather easily in his first professional fight, people still brushed it off. Many had denounced Min-Soo Kim as an unworthy challenge.
In his first ever UFC fight, Brock Lesnar was defeated by Frank Mir, a former UFC Heavyweight Champion. Those that rooted against Brock Lesnar pointed out that he was way too inexperienced to compete with better fighters.
Brock Lesnar went on to defeat Heath Herring, an MMA veteran that is more respected by the hardcore fans than by the casual fans. That silenced a small portion of his critics. However, a large portion still loomed.
Even though he's the current UFC Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar still is being brushed off by wrestling fans. In order to get some of them off of his back, he's going to need to avenge his only loss in the UFC.
Brock Lesnar needs to defeat Frank Mir.

There's a lot of people out there who root against Brock Lesnar and his MMA career.
The MMA fans that root against him are the ones that aren't happy that a former professional wrestler is able to come to a real sport and find success. They feel that his success might hurt the image of UFC.
That's a horrible way to think. Even though he was involved with professional wrestling, Brock Lesnar has to be still be considered one of the finest athletes on the planet. He's got incredible size and unbelievable speed to go with it. He's also a former NCAA amateur wrestling champion.
There's also wrestling fans who root against Brock Lesnar. They don't want to see him do well in UFC. Actually, they don't want to see him do well in anything.
These particular fans are the ones that upset that Brock Lesnar left WWE. They're upset because a main event performer who was highly gifted left the company that was in desperate need of his kind.
However, they won't ever admit that it is the reason why they despise him, so they quietly pretend that they're just rooting for the other guy in the fight.

Brock Lesnar might not carry the professional wrestling banner with him as he walks to the ring for the fight on Saturday night, but that's figuratively what he's doing.
Professional wrestling has always been ridiculed by fans of MMA and boxing (which is weird because wrestling doesn't claim to be a true sport).
For Brock Lesnar to succeed in MMA, it does give a little more credibility to the wrestlers' athletic abilities. The matches in pro wrestling might not be real, but the athletic performance that they put on is.

Power 25 Divas July 11th 2009

24 - Melina
Melina scored another huge triumph over Women's Champion Michelle McCool in tag team action, pinning Layla. She then held her own when Michelle attacked her after the bell.

22 - Mickie James
After coming out on the winning side of a tag team match on Raw, this sexy, smart and powerful Diva is one step closer to her nemesis, Divas Champion Maryse.

21 - Maryse
How much longer can the Divas Champion duck Mickie James? A tag team loss on Raw proved she may be avoiding that showdown for a reason.

19 - Hart Dynasty: Smith, Natalya, Kidd
After falling short against Cryme Tyme in their SmackDown debut last week, the trio reached into their pink & black bag of tricks to steal the win of over JTG & Shad.

15 - Michelle McCool
Though on the losing side of her Divas Tag Team Match, the Women's Champion quickly asserted herself after the bell, inciting a brawl with Melina.
